Positives: Good location, friendly staff, Wi-Fi. Negatives: Sites are ridiculously close together, no room for tow vehicles. People parked anywhere and everywhere possible. Slide-out butted right up against a palm tree. My neighbor's table was about 18 inches from my sewer connection (which required 36 feet of sewer hose to reach). Large rock pads (not crushed gravel, but egg-sized rocks). Looks like someone decided to convert what should be pull through sites to back-in so more campers could be crammed together. Parts of this park badly need to be re-engineered. If you stay here during peak season, request a premium site. Otherwise, don't expect a view of anything but your neighbor's rig on all four sides.

Brand new park just a few miles from Amistad. Sites are exceptionally roomy and well thought-out. Owners have obviously done a lot of RV'ing. Wi-Fi works great. Huge facility for rallies, etc. Bath house always clean. Very nice work-out room and pool. Had no trouble parking fifth-wheel and tow vehicle on a nice, level pad with plenty of room to spare. Owner was one of the friendliest, hardest working cowboys you'll ever meet and he should be very proud of what he's done here. Since the park is new, there's virtually no shade yet (shade is rare in this part of Texas, anyway). But landscaping is in place and growing. Top-notch place to stay and we'll definitely be back.

We spent New Year's Eve 2004 here with 2 kids. Park was very quiet; less than half full. Very well maintained level paved sites. Plenty of room and isolated from neighbors. Although no shade for RV's, park has large covers over all tables. Excellent hiking trails through very rugged and gorgeous canyon country. Buffalo herd is difficult to see; isolated by a very tall fence. A viewing area is supposedly being worked on. At least 2 excellent playgrounds; very kid-friendly. Torrential rain had washed out the main road beyond the equine campground and everything in the back half of the park was shut down as of Jan. '05. Restrooms and showers were acceptably clean. We will definitely visit again.
